Open positions
(Portuguese Speaking) ESG and Sustainability Consultant
Full-Time Role
Climate Horizons has a long-standing relationship with an ambitious and proactive client, and seeks the support of a well-rounded mid-level candidate. The candidate will be predominantly working on the stated project. Still, there will be an opportunity for other ad-hoc tasks and, once the project has culminated, to establish their preferred project type.
We expect that the candidate will:
- Based either in the United Kingdom or Europe
- Fluent in both English and Portuguese (preferably Angolan/Portugal dialects); this is a must; please do not apply if you are not fluent in both
- Have 5 – 8 years of experience in sustainability but feel free to apply if you have adjacent experiences in consultancy
- Hold an environmental sciences education (environmental sciences, geology, biology, maths, chemistry, geology, etc.); preference will be given to those with a Masters, but an undergraduate degree with relevant solid experience will be considered
- Must be comfortable with E&S impact assessments, ESG reporting and sustainability
Starting date: ASAP
Type: Full-time, either contractual or payrolled, dependent on the preference and location of the candidate.
Remuneration: Based on experience, the range is €30k – €60k per annum.

Climate Change and Transition Consultant
Full-Time Role
The role will likely evolve as our society transitions, working on areas such as:
- Transition planning – supporting and facilitating transition plans that ensure resilience and deliver value, with a focus on Just Transitions
- Climate Scenarios – analysis and modelling, coupled with process facilitation to support strategic planning and reporting
- Decarbonisation – GHG accounting, mitigation planning, target-setting and the development of systems (risk integration, executive incentives, etc.)
- Reporting – Delivering impactful written and verbal outputs.
- Sales and business development – selling services and impact through ongoing work with clients and partners
- Thought leadership – shaping the rules of the game
- Project Management – flex high grade project planning and execution, ensuring impeccable time management and collaborative excellence
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will be based either in South Africa or Europe
- Is fluent in English, with Portuguese or Italian as a plus
- Has 5-8 years of CC-specific experience
- Possesses a Bachelors degree or higher. Preference will be given to scientific degrees
Starting Date: ASAP
Type: Full-time, either contractual or payrolled dependent on preferences and location of the candidate
Remuneration: Based on experience, the range is €30k-€65k p.a.
